COOKING TIPS

KEEP THE LID ON

Once you own a Weber® barbecue with a lid, you can enjoy the sensation and taste of summer all year round. A barbecue with a lid is actually just as logical as having a door on your kitchen oven!

Lid damper

It can be difficult to resist the urge to lift the lid when you smell the aroma and hear the food sizzling inside. Resist the desire to look too frequently – keep the lid on! Each time you lift the lid, heat escapes, which will lead to a longer cooking time.

Covered cooking regulates the temperature permitting a more precise finish and also as a result preventing improperly cooked food. Use a Weber®  Food Thermometer for even more precision.

Barbecue all year round even in cold weather

Come rain, shine or even snow you can always enjoy the flavour of barbecued food. Weber® barbecues are ready to perform regardless of the weather. Since they are manufactured and tested in Chicago and built to handle extreme conditions.

It does not matter if it is cold outside but wind can cause problems in maintaining the required temperature inside the barbecue. Place the barbecue in a sheltered spot (though it must not be used inside).

You should expect to need more briquettes than you do in the summer. It is important that your Weber® briquettes are 100% dry, so buy them well ahead of time and store them in a dry place.

It is also important to light the barbecue well in advance. It takes slightly longer to get the briquettes evenly heated. Place the ignited Weber® briquettes in the barbecue. Remember that all vents must be fully open.

Since all Weber barbecues have a lid, the beauty of it is, the barbecue does all the work while you shelter indoors or huddle around a warm Weber® fireplace.
