OUR HISTORY
IT JUST GETS BETTER & BETTER
Ever since 1952 when the founder of Weber® barbecues, George Stephen, produced the first ever kettle, Weber® has continued to perfect the art of barbecuing design and manufacture. The results of all this care and dedication have been landmark grills which have set the standard for competitors to attempt to emulate.
Apart from the first covered kettle, Weber® designed the first gas cooking system using Flavorizer® bars relegating messy lava rock to history, the first One-Touch™ ash cleaning system, the first gas ignition charcoal kettle... the list goes on.
More than 50 years have passed since that first Weber® kettle, but its lineage can be traced right through to the ones made today. The fundamentals are unchanged, while any refinements are a testament to a company philosophy of building not only the highest quality products but also a desire for constant improvement. Key advances in product development continue today.
